W.Va. State Police Arrest Three People on Child Abuse Charges
West Virginia State Police officers have arrested three southern West Virginia residents on child abuse charges, including a Logan County man.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police officers have arrested three southern West Virginia residents on child abuse charges, including a Logan County man.

The following information is from a State Police news release:

On Monday, Feb. 8, Trooper First Class C. D. Kuhn and Senior Trooper E. B. McClung of the Logan State Police Detachment arrested Earnest L. Sheppard, 48, of Holden, W.Va., for sexual abuse by a guardian and obstructing an officer. The victim in this case is a 3-year-old relative of Sheppard.

On Friday, Feb. 5, Corp. D. C. Eldridge, of the Crimes Against Children Unit, along with troopers assigned to the Hinton State Police Detachment, assisted law enforcement officers from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department in Pennsylvania in the execution of a search warrant in Hinton, W.Va. The search warrant was issued following the arrest of Mr. Joseph J. McComas, 33, of Hinton, by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department (Pennsylvania) for the attempted procurement of a child for sexual exploitation through the use of the Internet.

On Sunday, Feb. 7, Trooper First Class Shrewsbury of the Princeton State Police Detachment arrested Katherine J. Boozer, 23, of Princeton, W.Va., for child abuse with serious injury and child abuse with injury. This arrest is the result of an investigation involving serious injuries suffered by Boozer’s 6-month-old boy. Boozer was arraigned in Mercer County Magistrate Court.

on any given day you read about such as this happening.you think foster care is such a great thing childerm are just as abuse in foster care as they are such as these kids were.when are people going to wake up and see that the system is broken and needs fix.dont get me wrong there is some wonderful people out there helping kids but cps to many times have been caught loving kids to death

THe sad thing is THE CHILDREN will PAY forever. I agree with the person that INSTANT ORGAN DONORS. The waiting list for those needing organ transplants would be MUCH shorter if we did this.

Ok, so I kinda agree with you, but I believe that can be a productive member of society again. They all have kidneys, lungs, hearts, etc. Living donors? Yeah, why not? You want to make this as much of a positive as you can. How many people need the organs? Instant donors!
