Well here we go again! I understand that we are back on boil advisory. We need to know the 3 W's. When was the boil advisory back on for second time, Where is the problem and When will the water be back on and safe to use. Oh by the way, is this one for real. Just wondering since the last one had so many different statements and what do we as consumers are we to believe?????
I think there should be a better system implemented. This is an archaic way to send advisories. We receive automated phone calls when schools are closed or delayed. They can do the same with the water system. They definately have our phone information. Some of the customers are not home during news hours or don't have access to this information. I happened to find out from a phone call from my mother who lives in Huntington, and I was actually home at the time watching a cable tv show. I just think there is a better, more efficient way to notify people of these advisories. I would much rather show up for school and be wrong then drink (or give my children drinks) of water and be wrong.
We need a better system of notification to the customers of the WV American Water when a boil water advisor is issued. I called the WVAM (2/11)and they told me that the advisory was still in effect. Your web site says that the advisory was lifted 8 am on the 10th of Feb. What is going on??? How are we to know whom to believe? This is crazy! Thank goodness I keep water in 5 one-gallon milk jugs as you never know when something might happen. Is it really OK to use the water now. Left hand - right hand??? Would be nice to get the same answer from all sources!!!
