A former Putnam County surgeon is facing more than one hundred malpractice lawsuits. Now the former owners of the hospital who hired John King will have to answer some tough questions.

Jury selection is expected to get underway Tuesday in the trial against HCA. That's who owned Putnam General Hospital when King was hired.

Jurors will have to decide if HCA was negligent in giving credentials to King.

King's accused of harming patients through unnecessary or botched surgery while practicing in Putnam County in 2003. King now lives in Alabama. He's also changed his name to Christopher Martin.

Why has he been allowed to move & change his name? Is he doing the same thing in Alabama? I am a R.N. and I have previously worked in surgery. It is disgusting that this was allowed to happen. The hospital has a lot of questions to answer as well as King or whatever his name is.
