A former Putnam County surgeon faces more than 100 malpractice lawsuits.
Now the former owner of the hospital who hired john king will have to answer some tough questions.
Jury selection got underway Tuesday in the trial against HCA, that's who owned Putnam General Hospital when King was hired.
Jurors will have to decide if HCA was negligent in giving credentials to king.
King was accused of harming patients through unnecessary or botched surgery while practicing in Putnam County in 2003.
King now lives in Alabama. He's also changed his name to Christopher Martin.
