KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Valentine's Day came early for hundreds of women in the Ceredo-Kenova area of Wayne County.
The generosity of an anonymous giver touched working women on Friday, and it was a project unlike any other for a C-K florist.
"We had seen it all until this holiday," florist Shane Powell said.
An anonymous donor bought 335 roses for Powell to deliver to working women in the Ceredo-Kenova area.
The man behind the gift giving asked the florist to keep his name a secret. He didn't want the attention put on him, but rather the hard-working women in his community.

The fact that some people see something negative in this just confirms that this is a loser place and the people who live here have lame, jealous-sounding attitudes. They should be ashamed.

The guys that are on here leaving negative comments are just a bunch of dumb**s rednecks who do not know how to treat a woman. If you are stupid enough to break up with a woman just because an anonymous guy sent her flowers, then you don't deserve her. You dont appreciate women or the hard work they do. I bet your mommy still does evrything for you and you dont even tell her thanks. I would die before I ever got in the kitchen just because it is a womans duty. My husband cooks for me all the time. We appreciate eachother. You don't ever deserve a good woman and if you do get one, I hope you would treat her the way she deserves. It was a great gesture for that man to send women flowers.

to all of you who think this act of kindness was dumb, you are probably mad bc you have noone to buy for on Valentines Day. obviously the person that sent them knew the women. im sure he didnt just look up random names in the phone book. and to the peson that said to get a woman a pie pan and poison ivy for valentines day...some of the smartest people in the world are women and im sure with out a woman in your life you wouldnt know what to do. im sure you dont cook and clean for yourself. even if you respond back and say "oh i do cook and clean for myself" you are probably just sayin that bc its on the internet and dont wanna look like a baby.
