HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)-A former Marshall basketball player and Silver medalist will be in the announcer’s booth at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Lea Ann Parsley will be the one telling us all about the bobsled, luge and skeleton races in Vancouver, Canada. She is on the NBC list of former athletes providing special coverage for the Olympic Games.

Parsley grew up in Logan, West Virginia.

She was the first female skeleton athlete to win a world cup medal for the United States and earned a silver medal in the women's skeleton event, a first in Olympic history, during the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games.

Lea Ann became an assistant coach and was part of the 2006 US Olympic Skeleton Team coaching staff.

Just a correction on the ignorant reporting: Parsley was born in WV but grew up and attended High School in Granville, Ohio. She lives in Ohio today and it has been her home since before she was an adult.
