Sheriff Deputies tell WSAZ.com that the truck is parked at the location during the night with the bucket raised in the air.
They say when the workers returned Tuesday morning, they pulled out without lowering the bucket.
Power crews had to turn off the electric. A wrecker was then brought in to upright the truck.
Once that happened the workers were able to get out of the cab of the truck. There were no injuries.
Power was out to about a thousand homes for much of the morning.

I just thank God that no one was hurt. People are so quick to judge. Have you ever made a mistake/had an accident? Thanks to the people who left nice comments because I am sure the guys involved were scared to death and need support from people after knocking on deaths door. They do a good job and it is a very dangerous job. Thank you God that the two guys in the truck made it out alive !!!!!!
wow... ppl definately need to lay off.... it was an accident??? ever heard of that?? its not like it wasnt a big deal, they were STUCK in a big power high... WITH power... do you think that you could not worry about your power, heat and worry about the person that was in the truck... have a little bit of respect for the person that could of been injured...
Hey accidents happen all the time...and they are accidents. I have a son in law and friends that do that work and it is hard and dangerous. I can't imagine being out in that freezing cold wind blowing while up in the air clearing lines. We need to quit being so critical and try walking or working a day at what they do.
