CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The city of Charleston's street department will get more money to buy salt to keep the roads cleared as this endless winter continues.
City Council's Finance Committee approved the purchase of 2,500 tons of salt, which is hoped to get the city through the rest of the winter.
The street department already has used all of the money they were budgeted for snow removal this year.
They started out the winter season with more than 10,000 tons of salt.

Well lets see Josh maybe you should review this article before opening your mouth only to insert your foot. The article pertains to the City of Charleston, not to STATE RT 60 in St.Albans. It is not the job of the street Department for the city of Charleston to clear your state owned road or your city that is well outside of the charleston city limits.

The City of Charleston should have plenty of money for road salt with the user fee that is being collected. Look at the streets and sidewalks, the money isn't being spent on anything else.

Anyone else ever wonder where salt goes after it is not on the roads anymore?
