LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A tense situation Tuesday evening in Lawrence County ended with a shot fired but no one hurt along Ohio 93, police say.
A deputy responded to a report of a young man possibly intending to harm himself at a rest stop near Lake Vesuvius.
Investigators say the deputy, along with a friend of the man, were standing alongside his vehicle when the man pointed a gun out the window and the gun went off. Neither the deputy nor the man's friend were hit.
They wrestled the gun from the man and shot him with a Taser to subdue him. He was taken into custody, but police have not determined if charges will be filed.

To Susie 2/17 at 8:37Am and concerned 2/17 at 1:21PM: What in the world are you two talking about? If I was a Huntington police officer when some of you called for help I would tell you to call a drug dealer, robber, killer or rapist. I get os sick of some people badmouthing the police. They have never bothered me unless I was doing some wrong. Oh I know police pick on some of you for no reason.[Give me a break]
