Snow Gives WV Ski Resorts a Big Lift
Ski resorts across the Mountain State say they are seeing an increase in business thanks to all the extra snow this season.

GHENT, W.Va. (WSAZ-TV) -- There's no business like snow business, and that's especially true this ski season. Ski resorts across West Virginia say all the extra snow is really giving them a lift.
"That really helps," Tom Peterson, management team with Winterplace Resort said. "We have great snow making when we have 100% coverage. But when this happens, its just a boom for us."
Winterplace Resort in Ghent, West Virginia is seeing one of its best winters ever.
"This is probably more than three times what we see in the winter time," Peterson said.
In fact, Winterplace has already seen over 10 feet of snow this season. Snowshoe Resort is already over 13 feet, and Canaan Valley is looking to push the 15 foot mark.
Bill Adcox and his family drove all the way from Georgia just to get a chance to ski in these conditions.
"The snow is just incredible today," Adcox said. "It's the best skiing. Even compared to when I've been out West and in Canada."
