UPDATE 07/15/10 @ 12:15 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men have pleaded guilty to playing a role in operating a meth lab.
Dustin Ratliff and James Bargmann entered their binding guilty pleas Thursday to charges of conspiracy to operate a meth lab.
The state is recommending probation, but because the two entered binding pleas, they could end up going to trial if the judge doesn't agree with probation.
A binding plea offer is when the accused pleads guilty to an agreed charge, and the prosecution agrees to recommend a certain sentence. If the judge does not agree with the sentence, the accused may withdraw their plea and go to trial.
Ratliff and Bargmann admitted to operating a meth lab that was busted near St. Albans in February.
Both are scheduled to be sentenced on September 15.
Drew Holstein and Amy Alford were also arrested and charged with operating a meth lab, however they were not in court Thursday.
Alford is expected to enter a plea next month. Holstein will go to trial in September.

come on people we all know that we wont these people that make meth.out and away from our children and now thay wont to give them probation. what is going on with the system. get them for making meth and just give them a pat on the back and say well done.that is a bunch of crap to me.come on put a stop to this junk now and get it over with.
To Anonymous: "Meth" clinics are not used to treat those addicted to methamphetamine. "Meth"adone clinics are used to treat those addicted to opioids (heroin, oxycodone, etc.) If I read correctly, there is a very high percentage of methamphetamine addicts who relapse during intervention.
