Water Break Causing Issues on Greenup Ave. in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Folks traveling U.S. 23 through Ashland may want to allow extra travel time on Thursday.

That’s because there's a break in a water line in the 2200 block of Greenup Avenue, which is also U.S. 23.

The break happened around 5 a.m.. It is in the north bound lanes.

One lane of Greenup Avenue is open in the area of the break, but you could be detoured onto Winchester Avenue between 21st and 23rd Streets as crews make repairs.

Crews say those repairs could last into Saturday.
