IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- According to 911 Dispatchers in Lawrence County, Ohio power has been restored to the City of Ironton.

ORIGINAL STORY
IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The City of Ironton is without power, and that's causing some problems for residents as well as emergency personnel.
Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless tells WSAZ.com that a major fuse blew around 2:00 p.m. Sunday, leaving a section of Ironton without power or phone service.
While American Electric Power works to fix the fuse, the city's essential operations are running on back-up generators.
Sheriff Lawless says if anyone has an emergency, they should call 911, because those phone lines will still work. Do not try to call the station's main business phone line to report an emergency.
Lawless says the power should be back on around 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

We live on North 2nd and our power did not go off, usually anytime the wind blows the wrong way, our electric goes off.
I was in the part of town that was without power . We had it back on before 4 . I live near speedway park avenue .I heard a loud Boom right before the power went out.
