Fire Destroys Cross Lanes Home
A fire has destroyed a house in the Cross Lanes area of Kanawha County.

CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire has destroyed a house in the Cross Lanes area of Kanawha County.
The fire broke out just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday along Fisher Branch Road.
Firefighters tell WSAZ.com when they arrived on scene heavy smoke was coming from the home.
Several local volunteer fire departments helped put out the fire, including departments from Sissonville and Malden.
No one was hurt in the fire.

Seriously, Malden and Sissonville???? There isn't a closer fire department that could assist??? I would hate to live in that area not knowing if a fire department will have to travel almost 20 or more minutes to get to me!
