CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- A Danville man has sued three State Police officers, claiming they harassed and beat him at the agency's barracks in Logan.
Johnny Hilbert claims in the lawsuit that the troopers followed him and searched him for drugs and two later beat him. Hilbert is seeking unspecified damages.
The lawsuit also names the State Police and its superintendent, Col. Timothy Pack, as defendants. It was filed Tuesday in Kanawha County Circuit Court.
Assistant attorney general John Hoyer, who represents the State Police, declined comment.
