HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All Terry Ivey wants to do is smile!
It doesn't come easy, though -- Terry is having problems with her teeth and it's affecting her self-esteem.
"If I had insurance, I'd had have all this taken care of," Terry said. "I have a disabled husband and two year old that I help raising. I don't make that much money, so it's kept me away to the point that now, I'm losing all my teeth."
Ebenezer Medical Outreach offers a low cost option for it's patients.
In fact, most dental work is done for a $5.00 donation. The price is small, but the demand is large.
"We really need more volunteers even if it's just one time only," said office manager Cheri Cantere. "My waiting list is two and 1/2 pages long. There are some names still on that first page since I came in July."
Ebenezer's dental clinic relies on dentists and hygienists volunteering their time a few hours a month. Several have been added into the rotation and the hope is to cut down on the wait time.
According to Ebenezer's Website, it is a full service medical clinic that provides a multitude of services to the working uninsured of the tri-state regions of West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.
Ebenezer Outreach is located at 1448 Tenth Avenue Huntington, W.Va.
