CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- He doesn't even have an iPhone, but Cory Dobson built an iPhone Application for his school, Capital High, in about three days.
His teacher Robert Haddy was shocked.
"I was like, what? So now for the rest of the semester, we are going to update it," Haddy said.
I-CHS is now available for download in the iTunes Application Store.
Dobson says he equates the entire process to writing and publishing a book -- coming up with a storyline, mapping it out and getting published.
"The whole process has been kind of magical for me," Dobson said. "Because I have gone from a kid with a computer to an iPhone publisher in the App store in three weeks."
Dobson says the app is only limited by the minds of students and teachers. Right now it has the bell schedule, Google search, mapping and a program that students use to get their grades and assignments.
Haddy compares it to a modern day assignment or agenda book. He says he's already put out a call to the teachers, asking them to pass along anything they'd like to have added to the app.
"Anything you want to use in your class for reference, or quick reference updates, assignments, send it to us and we will put it up there," he said.
Haddy says it's a great quick reference tool.
Principal Clinton Giles says he's in "hog heaven" because the school code of conduct is on the application. He says this application is proof that the mission of Captial High School is being achieved and that students are graduate information and technology literate.
Cory says he's hoping for an iPhone for graduation.
Capital High School changed it's cell phone policy for students last year, so they were allowed to be used in school when teachers made them a part of lesson plans.
Dobson says he believes that Capital HIgh School's Application is the first high school app in the state of West Virginia.

Wow what a smart kid. The school should reward him with a Iphone. He has totally earned it.
For his work, the school should raise money to buy this gifted young man an iPhone. He deserves it for volunteering his time to make this happen for the students and teachers of Capital High School.
