PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) – More prescription narcotics from Florida pain clinics are now off the streets in eastern Kentucky.
On Tuesday, Paintsville Police say they arrested two women and a man during a traffic stop at a apartment complex in Paintsville after getting information about drug activity in the area.
Inside the car, officers say they found prescription pills from a pain clinic in Florida.
They say the investigation then led to search warrants for a storage building in Staffordville and residence in Flat Gap.
Police tell WSAZ.com that inside storage they found a safe that contained a large amount of prescription narcotics from pain clinics and doctors in both Florida and West Virginia.
At the house they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police are not releasing the names of the three people they arrested until their investigation in complete.
