UPDATE 3/29/10
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- "This is a kinda home away from home for alumni."
That's according to Ron Area, chief executive officer of the Marshall University Foundation.
"What's unique about this floor is it symbolizes Marshall and the four words that represent Marshall -- pride, integrity, diversity and respect," he says.

ORIGINAL STORY 2/27/10
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (/WSAZ) -- Nine million dollars later, the Marshall University's Alumni Center has a new home.
Marshall hosted it's grand opening of Foundation Hall Saturday afternoon.
The building also houses the Erickson Alumni Center, a place where prospective students and graduates can get together.
This new building will allow the alumni center to host alumni weekends.
The first one is planned for April 23 and 24.

They should try a Discount Card Fundraiser to raise money.
This building actually looks really nice and I'm glad it was paid for from private donations (they've been working on this for YEARS). What I hate is the rec center, because they make EVERY student pay a membership fee regardless of whether they will be using the facility or not. This includes those who are handicapped and those who commute long distances.
how about fundraising for a baseball field close to campus.
