UPDATE: Saturday 7:57pm
MAUI, Hawaii (WSAZ) -- "Just got the all clear - Praise God for His Presence and Thanks to all who prayed with us for a good report!"

Those are the words from Joe Jefferson, a newlywed in Maui, shortly after the tsunami came and went.

Jefferson and his wife Cindy are on the island for their honeymoon. While the couple waited for the natural disaster, he kept in touch with WSAZ.com via email.

"Just an update - so far no observable difference in the coastline off Wailea - we're all starting to wonder if there will be any real impact in our area - the Hotel Staff reported they have heard authorities just evacuated the area around the airport on the North side of Maui - 3 surges reported on Hilo all around 3 ft - it will be an answer to prayer if we've avoided the potential calamity."

@lindak You accuse me of being backwards when I was simply poking gentle fun at the authors implication that the Tsunami either was or would precipitate a storm. I understand though, sarcasm is hard to detect in the internet.
