HAMLIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sara Boggs says she's lucky to be alive after suffering a brutal beating in rural Lincoln County.
Three people accused of the crime are behind bars. Boggs says her ex-fiance's son led her to a rural part of Lincoln County, then he began to beat her with the help of two women.
Boggs says her thick leather jacket helped soften the blows when she was beaten Friday night, but when the accused hit her in the head with a metal object, she thought that was it.
"I thought I was dying," she says. "I dreamed I was dead."
Johnny Cremeans Jr. is charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding and conspiracy -- along with Jennifer Bragg and Jennifer Porter. All three turned themselves in to State Police on Wednesday afternoon.
Boggs says Cremeans talked her into following him out Little Laurel Road to see his father -- her ex-fiance. That's when Boggs says Cremeans put his car in reverse and knocked her car off the road and in a ditch.
"He pinned my head on the window and continued to beat me," she says. "I just said, 'Please quit. Why are you doing this to me?' "
The accused didn't have much to say, but Bragg did get emotional -- hugging a loved one before going to jail.
"I'm glad they've been caught, but I'll still sleep with one eye open," Boggs says.
Porter, Bragg and Cremeans did not give any statements to police when they turned themselves in Wednesday.

I feel sorry for the next family this drama queen gets involved in. I will be praying for all you people on here judging when you don't actually know what happened. I think the evidence speaks for itself
This comment is for Lisa on March 5th, I know what your saying. I live in Lincoln Co. & your right, Sarah Boggs is a big bully and she does harass people. There have been so many times that she has cussed me out & flipped me off when I pass her on the road. What's wrong with her anyway? She don't like me for some reason. Oh well.
Yea, I hear ya. About 8 years ago, Sarah slashed my tires and busted out the windshield in my car. She tried to ruin my life. Glad she's gone and someone else has to deal with her drama & lies. She was supposed to be my friend, till she slept with my boyfriend & took him from me. Then when she drained his money, she moved on to my uncle. It took a while for us to figure this girl out, but we finally did after our family was tore apart. So SAD!
