Elliott County Man Killed in Crash
Kentucky State Police say 39-year-old Kevin Stamper was killed.

ELLIOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man from Sandy Hook, Ky. was killed in a crash Tuesday evening.

Kentucky State Police say 39-year-old Kevin Stamper died in the accident.

Troopers say Stamper was driving south on KY 7 when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and hit an on coming car.

Three people were in that car were hurt, two were airlifted to a Huntington Hospital. KSP says they were listed in stable condition.

Troopers say Stamper was not wearing a seat belt.

I knew Kevin and his family. Like many in Elliott County, he had a hard life, but was a survivor.God have mercy on him, comfort his wife, mother and boys.

This happened right in fron of the state's newest prison the Little Sandy Correctional Complex. Sad times.. But people always drive crazy one that section of road.

At the risk of sounding like Pablo, maybe if this man had been wearing his safety seat belt, he would still be alive. Some people will never learn. Of course, my thoughts are with this young man, his family and friends.
