SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The owner of Planet Tan in South Charleston tells WSAZ.com the store is set to close on Saturday unless something changes in the next 24 hours.
Planet Tan has been located at the Shoppes at Track Fork for nine years.
Diana Truman leases the property from THF Realty.
Truman says the economy has hurt her business, but THF has also raised its lease and there's no way her business can handle expenditures.
"This is really hard," Truman said. "Our customers are like family."
Right now, the business is refunding customers who have purchased tanning sessions they won't be able to use.
However, Truman says there is a potential buyer for the business, but unless something is finalized by Saturday the shop will close.
Quizno's Subs and Circuit City at Trace Fork have also closed over the last several months.
Andy Boyd with THF says he can't comment on Planet Tan closing. However, he says THF is actively marketing the shopping plaza in hopes of breaking in new businesses.

Ahhh, Planet Tan. Five years of luxurious, soothing, and pampering of the body. It certainly was another planet. Yeah, everybody's owed a couple of dollars and some lotion, me too. Been there, done that. The anxiety that it will cause to get the stuff back is not worth the fifty dollars. You will spend twice as much. Lets talk about bed 13 my bed bulbs so hot and new you could popcorn on them. Those persons never had the chance to visit, you walk in to a beautiful lobby and escorted to your room with piped in music catered food if you got the package. Over all I got more out of it than they the owners did. I win!
Has anyone got their refunds yet? just curious on how to get it back.
Where can we get the form to apply for any type of refund? Thank You in advanced for assisted myself and others.
