ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) – A former deputy jailer and maintenance man at the Carter County Detention Center has learned his prison sentence.
In October, Keith Hollingsworth, 43, of Olive Hill was found guilty of inappropriate sexual contact with inmates during a trial in U.S. District Court in Ashland.
On Monday, Hollingsworth was sentenced to 44 months in prison and 3 years supervised release. He also has to register as a sex offender.

U.S. District Court officials say Hollingsworth was found guilty on both counts of a federal indictment issued in March.
The jury deliberated several hours before reaching the guilty verdicts.
Hollingsworth will be sentenced in February.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A jury is now deciding if a former deputy jailer is guilty of inappropriate sexual contact with inmates.
Keith Hollingsworth, 43, of Olive Hill, Ky., is a former deputy jailer and maintenance man at the Carter County Detention Center in Grayson.
In March, a federal grand jury in Ashland charged Hollingsworth with engaging in sexual acts with an inmate who was in official detention and under his supervision and disciplinary authority. They say this happened in December of 2005.
The indictment also charges that in June of 2007, Hollingsworth allegedly subjected a different inmate to sexual acts.
Hollingsworth’s case went to trial in U.S. District Court in Ashland earlier this week.
The case went to the jury around 11:15 Friday morning.
Hollingsworth testified in his own defense on Thursday and denied the charges.
If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A deputy jailer and maintenance man at the Carter County Detention Center in Grayson, Ky., has been indicted by a federal court grand jury in Ashland.
The indictment alleges that in December of 2005, Keith Hollingsworth, 43, of Olive Hill, Ky., engaged in sexual acts with an inmate who was in official detention and under his supervision and disciplinary authority.
The indictment also charges that in June of 2007, Hollingsworth allegedly subjected a different inmate to sexual acts. According to the indictment, the acts deprived the inmate of a constitutional right not to be deprived of liberty which includes bodily integrity.
If convicted, Hollingsworth faces a maximum prison sentence
of 15 years.
