Gov. Joe Manchin's Mother Improving After Stroke
A spokesperson with Governor Joe Manchin's Office tells WSAZ.com his mother is getting better.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A spokesperson with Governor Joe Manchin's Office tells WSAZ.com his mother is getting better.
Mary Manchin, 87, suffered a stroke on Friday and was hospitalized in Morgantown.
Press Secretary Sara Payne Scarbro says Mary is alert and feeling much better today (Monday).
The family is expected to know more Monday afternoon when they get test results back.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Gov. Joe Manchin's mother has suffered a stroke.
Manchin released released the following statement about his mother Mary Manchin, 87, who suffered a stroke around 11 a.m. Friday and is currently hospitalized:
"I am with my mother and my family as we wait for further news about my mother’s condition. I am truly thankful for the excellent care that my mother is receiving from all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at Ruby Memorial. Gayle and I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers."
Ruby Memorial Hospital is located in Morgantown, W.Va.

This is horrible, but it deserves no more press than anyone else's Mother having a stroke. What makes her so important that this deserves a story, what about my neighborm she is a great elderly lady and she had a stroke 2 days ago, can she get a story too ?? Remember folks, Politicians and their families are more important than common folks.
i will be keeping this family in my prayers.i'm so glad he is allow to be with his mother.and i do think she is in good hands.i'm so sorry this has happen to this family
