ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- While State Police officers didn't find a meth lab, they found enough evidence to make two arrests Friday night.
Troopers went to a home along 3rd Avenue North in St. Albans. Inside, they found materials used to make meth. Troopers arrested Amy Vance and Brian Halstead.
An anonymous tip led them to the home.

I just want to say that using and abusing meth or any drug is not always about needing money or choosing not to work. Amy, has a degree and she is a good person. She, like so many others, has found herself in a world that she was just unable to escape. I understand the community concerns regarding meth and it's dangers but this drug knows no type of person. Rich, Poor, successfull or just hanging on by a thread. It could invade the life of any of us at any time. I should know because Amy is my niece.

Guess what? Someone decided to break in to the meth house and got away with stealing stuff out of it and only got a ticket for no trespassing and to show up in court. This is so wrong on many levels. The excuse was she is an animal lover and had to get the cats out at 11pm at night and there were witnesses that saw this person packing armloads of stuff out of there. The cats were already outside after they boarded it up. If these cats were in danger why didn't they just call the animal control to come and get them out? Because this person was stealing not rescuing! This person has no animals at their house.

Ashley.. If this was being cooked in her home, she will be facing the same charges. Sorry, but everyone in the home gets charged. Saint Albans seems to be in the news a lot now, over meth lab busts. Do these people not realize the health effects this causes to neighbors as well? I was paying my personal property taxes and seen all the stuff they put in meth and it was discusting that people would put this in their bodies. I could not believe all of it, plus believe the damage it can do to a child with breathing in the fumes. Its a shame people wont just go get a job like the rest of us, instead of causing an explosive situation in a neighborhood. Its a shame. I seen now hiring signs at Mcdonalds everywhere. Why chose to cook this crap, then to work an honest job, is beyond me. Our tax dollars at work. They need to pass that law with drug testing welfare recipients. Stuff like this wont happen as often.
