Many Winning Teams at 'Canstruction' Competition
Many people walked away winners Friday night during the "Canstruction" competition sponsored by Covenant House and the American Institute of Architects.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Many people walked away winners Friday night during the "Canstruction" competition sponsored by Covenant House and the American Institute of Architects.
The event draws architects, engineers and contractors to design and construct giant sculptures using canned foods. All canned goods used in building will go to the Covenant House Food Pantry and a Second Harvest Food Bank.
The winners, which were announced Friday at the Clay Center, are:
- Structural Ingenuity -- ZMM
- Best Use of Labels -- Williamson Shriver Architects Inc.
- Best Meal -- Dow Chemical Co. Women's Innovation Network
- Juror's Favorite -- South Charleston High School (Art and Engineering)
- Honorable Mentions -- Charleston Interdenominational Council for Social Concerns; Contractor's Association of West Virginia (Young Contractors)
