CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The siblings of a millionaire priest in West Virginia who lived like a pauper will each receive about $150,000 from the man's estate.
Father Anthony Wojtus died in 2007 at 77 without leaving a will or known family.
He spent his retirement in a small, nondescript home in Cedar Grove and received a modest stipend from the Wheeling-Charleston Diocese. Kanawha County tax officials were surprised when they examined Wotjus' estate and found property, cash and investments worth $1.5 million to $2 million.
Kanawha County Chief Tax Deputy Allen Bleigh says 12 siblings have been located. Another sister couldn't be found.
Within the next two weeks, Bleigh says the siblings will receive a share of Wojtus' estate.

Priests pay income tax on their salaries. This money was his personally...not the church's...Please get your facts right. Priests who belong to a religious order (e.g. Franciscans, Jesuits etc) take a vow of poverty. Diocesan priests do not. He just made good investments...I wish I would have don ethe same. Pgh priest who pays income taxes and does not take a vow of poverty.
Mark: or they could donate it to the WV Board of Education, as it seems that the public school system has become the new haven for child predators.
I think ALL CHURCHES should be taxed,,they dont deserve or need all of that money.Pay like the rest of us have to,,and I also agree with Mark on the child molesting by the priest,it seems to happen quite often
