Crash Leaves Two Women Trapped in Car Overnight
Two women were trapped in their car for nearly 12 hours after their vehicle rolled over an embankment.

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An accident Monday evening left two woman trapped in a car for nearly 12 hours.

The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened on Snow Hill Road in Mt. Nebo around 7:30 p.m..

Deputies say Janet Pyles, 59, was driving a Suzuki Sidekick and ran off the road. The car rolled down the hill nearly 40 feet and then flipped on its top.

Pyles along with her 93-year-old passenger, Violet Lipps, were trapped in the car until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Pyles was taken to Summersville Regional Medical Center.

Lipps had to be flown by Health Net to Charleston Area Medical Center. As of 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Lipps was still listed under evaluation at CAMC.

i think this is true on the age of drawing ss, however you have to have worked to draw i believe and if you are on it at 44 you are diabled having worked before or draw from a spouse. who cares the point here is these ladies were in a bad accident and i am glad they were ok.

this is to ?.this is not true because im only 44 and i get ss and medicare both so age is just a number beside this is 2 ladies that have families that is the important thing .

Thank you to seriusly u are right. First of all it doesnt matter their age it was a terrible thing. Just to let the ones know who care they are ok. The driver, Janet was released from smh, and Violet is in charleston but only for observations. She is 92 and was trapped in the cold for 12 hours. Its sad that someone would make comments like they do. Hope its not their family that someone is being rude to.
