CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Virginia Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling will be the guest speaker at the annual Kanawha County Republican Lincoln Day dinner.
The Kanawha Republic Executive Committee (KCREC) made the announcement on Tuesday.
The dinner is set for April 27 at the Charleston Civic Center.
“The committee is excited not only because of the momentum the Republican Party is having, but the crowd at the Lincoln Day dinner will be listening to one of West Virginia’s own,” Melody Potter, Chair of the KCREC, said. “He understands the challenges we have in West Virginia first hand and how decades of allowing Democrats to control our system have disabled our growth potential.”
Bolling was born in Sistersville, West Virginia and was raised in the southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia.
He also graduated from the University of Charleston in 1979.
The proceeds from the Lincoln Day Dinner will go toward helping Republican candidates who are running for office in Kanawha County.
