Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested After Short Chase
A man from Lancaster, Ohio, has been charged with aggravated robbery after investigators say he robbed a pharmacy Tuesday in West Portsmouth, Ohio.

WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man from Lancaster, Ohio, has been charged with aggravated robbery after investigators say he robbed a pharmacy in West Portsmouth, Ohio.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Gahm's Pharmacy on Galena Pike around 5:30 pm Tuesday after receiving a 911 call that a man armed with a handgun had tied up store employees and taken prescription medicine.
A deputy spotted the suspect on 2nd Street and caught up with him after a brief foot chase. A weapon and medications were recovered at the scene.
Pharmacy employees identified David B. Nelson, 53, of Lancaster as the man they say robbed them. Nelson is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Drugs. Investigators say Nelson will also face charges of kidnapping when the case is presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury. His bond has been set at $ 50,000.
