CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After several delays, repairs to the emergency stopping system at Yeager Airport have been completed.

The Engineered Materials Arrestor System (EMAS) was damaged in January after a US Airways plane aborted take off and slid into it.

Snowy and windy weather have delayed the repairs. With the recent stretch of nice weather, crews finally have been able to fix the EMAS.
