CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Officers out looking for drunk drivers Wednesday night ended up chasing a man through the city of Charleston.

Police tell us John Brown of Charleston sped through a DUI checkpoint on Kanawha Boulevard around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers tried to get him to stop, they say he kept on going. Officers were finally able to pull him over on Clendenin Street.

Brown has been charged with fleeing from police.

No seat-belt checkpoints! No seat-belt = natural selection.

How is a DUI checkpoint intrusive? If drunks would obey the law, & not drive while drunk, then there would be no need to have these checkpoints! I think there should be more checkpoints!!!!
