Firefighters Battle Flames at Putnam County Home
Fire destroyed a home around 9:00 a.m. Friday in Putnam County.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Fire destroyed a home around nine Friday morning in Putnam County.
It happened at a home on Bentwood Drive in the Woodcliffe Chase Subdivision. It's off of Route 34 between Hurricane and Teays Valley.
Flames were shooting out of the roof when crews arrived on the scene, causing the roof to collapse in several places. The house is a total loss.
Two people inside the home when the fire started made it out safely.

anonymous just so you know there not called "paid firemen" there emergency service workers also do you know what its like to wear around 70lbs worth of gear in 1000 degree temps doubtfull so untill you know whats its like to do this plus hold the hand of someone who is dying then back off they do this for people they never have seen before and may never see agian and all they ask in return is a thank you because the fire fighters in this area is not going to save every house that is built they cant no one can and if you would communicate with the fire departments im sure they would love to come out and preplan your business but two people cant be every were at once there humans not god.

The only buildings that seem to be get as you call it "pre-planned" seem to be Mcdonalds,Tudors,Sheetz,and City Hall. What do the rest of the people have to do to get their business pre-planned or are the above named business' the only ones in danger around here?

to common sense how are they VOLUNTEERS when they are refered to as paid fireman sounds like you need to learn common sense yourself
