KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A mock plane crash tested the skills of emergency crews from around the area at Tri-State Airport Saturday morning.

Fake disaster drills must be performed by airports every three years.

During the drill, the airport also unveiled it's brand new fire truck.

Students from Marshall University and folks who live nearby pitched in to play victims of the mock disaster.

Some of the victims were even transported to local hospitals as part of the drill.

What a great way to showcase the wonderful EMS crews we have here in Huntington and the terrific care I would have received at St.Marys had I truly been a victim. There were about 13 of us that arrived at the same time and they had no problem taking care of us. KUDDOS to everyone involved!!
