WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man convicted for his role in the murder of a pastor in 2008 has been sentenced to 160 years in prison.
Stephen Wilson was sentenced Monday in a Wayne County courtroom.
Wilson and Daniel Smith, both Army deserters, were found guilty last year of robbing and killing Reverend Mark McCalla from Huntington at a shooting range.
Wilson received 40 years for second degree murder and 120 years for first degree robbery.
Parole was not mentioned in Monday's sentencing, but the judge told Wilson he would sentence him to the death penalty if he could.
Daniel Smith has already been convicted and was sentenced to a life sentence with mercy. He also received 90 years for robbery.

First, I went to middle/high school with Steve, and while I didn't particularly like him, I can't condone giving him the death sentence. You guys seem to like the "eye for an eye" verse, but ignore Matthew 5:39 where Jesus rebukes that way of thinking. "If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn your other cheek to him as well." (NIV) Anyway, he's 21. Isn't 160 years in prison enough?
I am confused. He gets 106 years but the woman who ran down someone and deliberately left her to die on the road gets 3 years with probable probation in 1.5? Something's wrong with WV justice these days.
read this statement and tell me the justice system isn't screwed up "Wilson received 40 years for second degree murder and 120 years for first degree robbery' sad, considering someone lost their life
