CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia Truck and Trailer is set to close in Cross Lanes.
General Manager Roger Meadows says the company is closing, but he couldn't release any more information.
An employee tells WSAZ.com the company closed two weeks ago, but four people have been asked to stay on to help liquidate the warehouse.
West Virginia Truck and Trailer is a freight liner dealership. The company opened in Nitro in 1989, but has been in Cross Lanes for the last four years.
According to the employee, at one time the company employed 50 workers, but that number has been dwindling for a few years.
16 people worked for the company when it closed.
The employee believes the economy played a role in the closing, but he didn't know the exact reason.
The company is expected to officially close in the next week.
