5,000 in W.Va. Sign Petitions Against Phone Deal
More than 5,000 West Virginians have signed petitions opposing the proposed sale of Verizon's landlines to Frontier Communications.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- More than 5,000 West Virginians have signed petitions opposing the proposed sale of Verizon's landlines to Frontier Communications.
Elaine Harris with the Communications Workers of America says those petitions will be delivered to the state Public Service Commission on Tuesday.
Frontier is trying to buy Verizon's wire lines in West Virginia and 13 other states.
The three-member commission is expected to decide whether to approve the landline deal by May at the latest.

I have had Frontier for 8years and love it, and I have fast DSL service and love it.

Ill sign the petition so that Frontier can take over! I am so sick of Verizon!

Dennis what will you do when you are working for Frontier with no union wage? Oh thats right you will have to work instead of blowing off jobs and sitting in your truck. This deal is going to happen and there is nothing you or the ladies at the CWA can do about it.
