Two people in Huntington now charged with child neglect after leaving a ten month old child in a locked car.
Police say Shane Marcus Klumb left the child unattended in the car while he went into a bar on Ninth Street and was served alcohol by the bartender who is also the baby's mother.
The police report says Tarahlynn Perry was aware the child was in the vehicle and she was also arrested for neglect. The child is now with the maternal grandmother.

The comment from Tarah on Feb 4, 2008 at 09:01 PM makes me wonder if she is the so called mother. If so, I hope you, or your boyfriend are never allowed to be alone with your child again.

If you want the real story then you shouldn't believe what the news said. Some people do eat lunch at 11 pm the ones who have a job working midnight shift and another thing. I have watchs so many of people in four states leave their children in the car to go to the grocery store or to the mall and go shopping cause the kid didn't want to go in. You same people are judging a man that brought his girlfriend something to eat and walk in her work the baby was a sleep and he could see her out the window. So before you focus on this story maybe worry about your own problems before you all judge people.

This mother doesn't deserve our comments. I am concerned about the victim. What will happen to this child? Her two older children live with their Dad and a wonderful stepmother. I only hope this child will be placed in such a wonderful, loving home. Children of abusive or neglectful parents can suffer problems throughout their lives. I know her two older children and I've seen them cry and ask why mommy lied to them. I've heard her son sob when he was 4 years old that "mommy doesn't love me any more". Her daughter tells her teachers that "mommy lies to us all the time". What does it take for Child Protective Services or some agency to focus on these little voices? Come on people, these children didn't ask to be born. They just want to be loved. Sadly, that is too much for some people to do. My prayers and words are for the victims.
