WellI guess people who ride motorcycles dont need to wear helmets, And as far as im concered if you ride a 4 wheeler it should be up to the rider if he/she wants to wear one, I feel bad about the guy who lost his life and his family, but look at it another way, You could be buckeled up in your car and still be killed just like you could if you was not buckeled in, So people who ride and people who drive take there life in there hands everyday when they walk out side. But what I dont agree with is people under the age riding these things as fast as they will go and the parents really dont care or dont know or for that matter dont wanna know.
I live on a secondary road that is paved and in the summer months the teenagers ride the four wheelers I know approximately 60 to 75 mph. One of these days, one of them is going to hit head on with a vehicle in a curve. When they get killed, everyone is going to say poor Susy or Johnny. My questions is, where is their parents while this is going on? The answer is their parents just turn them loose with the four wheelers and what can they expect when they get killed riding so fast.
For those of you "helment bashing" a head injury is not the ONLY way you can be killed. Maybe just maybe the man died from internal injuries, therefore a helment WOULD NOT had saved his life. To the family my thoughts and prayers.
