HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two Huntington residents were arrested Friday in connection with purse snatchings from elderly women, Huntington Police say.

The suspects are identified as Esta Blackburn, 24, of the 1300 block of 5th Avenue, Huntington; and Ronald Ray McComas, 50, of the 600 block of 30th Street. Both were charged with three counts of second-degree robbery and were arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

In the three cases, the women's purses were taken by force. The most recent incident occurred about 4 p.m. Friday at the Gabriel Brothers department store along U.S. 60 in Huntington. Previous incidents occurred in the 600 block of Roby Road and the 900 block of 14th Street.

A suspect vehicle was located Friday on Irvin Road in East Huntington. Blackburn and McComas were arrested as they returned to where they had left the vehicle. Another vehicle had been used in getaways, police say.

Blackburn and McComas were taken to the Western Regional Jail where they were jailed on $30,000 and $45,000 bond, repectively.

Again after they serve their time they need to stand in front of every shopping area they targeted with a sandwich board sign on them that reads "I rob from the elderly" we'll see how many they catch off guard after that. Nothing but 2 pieces of trash. How sad some kids have them as parents.

TO bdf. Yep you're right it's WV's fault for having video lottery. Sure you're aren't on something. Always an excuse or reason to place blame. Guess the thousands of other lottery players are lying in wait to snatch a purse from an old lady. WOW.
