WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a truck, and now West Virginia State Police are looking for the person responsible.
Troopers say Zachary Thompson, 19, of Louisa, Ky. was hit along Centerville Road in Prichard early Saturday morning. That is in Wayne County.
Thompson was pronounced dead just before 2:00 a.m. at the scene. At this time, troopers say they are still trying to piece together exactly what happened. No other details about the incident or the victim have been released at this time.
Troopers say the vehicle that hit Thompson and then fled the scene was a burgundy Ford Ranger. If you have any information about this incident, or the whereabouts of the truck, you're asked to contact State Police at 304-272-5131.

Why isn't anyone coming forward on this, why isn't the media putting it out there on the news and in the papers. This was a young teen who lost his life because of some idiot! My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I don't live but about 15 minutes from where this happened at and I can't imagine how I would feel if that would have been my teenage son out there walking and some idiot hit and killed him and wouldn't even come forward. If the person that did this is watching the threads on this story, SHAME on you for letting this go on and not coming forward and taking your punishment!! You are a sorry person for doing what you've done. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with the family may God be with you during this time of trial.
