CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sarah Palin has her sights set on 20 democratic seats in the House of Representatives. She thinks republicans can win this election. Two of those seats are in West Virginia.

Palin posted the list on her Facebook page. She targets Representative Nick Rahall, a democrat in West Virginia's 3rd Congressional district, and Alan Mollohan, a democrat in the state's 1st Congressional District.

The two representatives voted for the health care bill, but represent areas that Palin and John McCain won in 2008. Palin says these areas could be an opportunity for republicans in the upcoming election.

"Her influence in pointing the national spotlight toward West Virginia is going to be huge," Troy Berman, Executive Director of the West Virginia Republican Party, says.

During the controversial debate over the health care bill republicans told democrats they would pay for their votes come election time.

Berman says his office has seen a huge swell in support from people in West Virginia after the healthcare bill passed. He says people are upset and ready to take action this election.

Palin's focus on West Virginia could also mean more money for the republicans in those races, but democrats say Palin has no business in West Virginia politics.

"No outsider can come into West Virginia and tell us who to vote for," Pamela Van Horn, Representative Mollohan's campaign manager says. "The only people who have any say are the folks who actually live in the district."

Voters have stood by the incumbents election after election. Rahall has been elected 17 times and Mollohan has been elected 13 times.

Representatives Mollohan and Rahall both say they only voted for the healthcare legislation after an executive order was added to ensure federal funds don't fund abortions.

Berman says he is trying to get Palin to come to West Virginia, but there's no word on if she will yet.

Both Mollohan and Rahall are facing democratic challengers in the May primary election.

GOD's gift to man because she's beautiful, GOD's gift to women because she fights for their rights. GOD's gift to all Americans because she actually WANTS our nation to prosper!

It's WV not WVA. Since 1861. And thanks for your continued support and promotion of all these right wing nutcases, it helps sway the independents to the middle. NC is a much better fit for you BTW.
