HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- With warmer weather just around the corner more motorcycles will be out on the road.

That's why the Huntington Police Department is setting up shop; offering courses for folks who get from point A to point B on two wheels!

This is part of a two week course they're doing for their own officers, and two days of that will be dedicated to regular folks!

April 3rd, the class will be hosted by the Kroger on Fifth Avenue in Huntington. The cost $150.

I would have to agree with Harley Dude...take the class. I too have been riding for years, and the class was beneficial. Maybe they need a class for those who don't ride and drive cars so they will pay attention to motorcycles. Already this year I have had to people pull out in front of me ...one was on her phone naturally. Please look out for us when you are driving.

Folks if you ride and reading this, take the course. I've been riding since early 70's and thought I knew everything. I learned alot taking this course. Even if you only learn one thing that could save your life its worth it. Also you get reduced rates on insurance. For you folks that dont ride, please look out for us riders, we appreciate it dearly.
