CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The weekend was no time for relaxation for some future basketball stars.

This weekend, the North American Youth Sports league hosted it's annual tournament at George Washington High School in Charleston.

Boys & Girls from the fifth grade, to seniors in high school took part in the tournament. Fifty schools were represented, most were from West Virginia.

Josh Bailey is an assistant coach at WVU Tech. He together this weekends tournament.

"It's neat because, I think this is one of the first tournaments that a lot of the teams have been to this spring so it's neat to play," Bailey said. "And also to see teams that they don't normally play like, last game we had a team from Parkersburg that might play a team from southern West Virginia. So it's kind of neat and I think that they've enjoyed it."

Each team was guaranteed two games; making it worth the travel to Charleston.
