BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) -- A woman was found shot to death in her home Saturday.

It happened on South Fayette Street in Beckley.

According to Beckley Police, the 33-year-old victim called her neighbor around 6:00 Saturday morning and asked her to come over to her house.

Police say the neighbor didn't sense anything was wrong when the victim called.

However, when the neighbor arrived she found the woman unresponsive with multiple gun shot wounds.

The Raleigh County E.O.C. pronounced the woman dead on the scene.

Police are now investigating.

"At this point we're investigating potential witnesses also canvassing the neighborhood and we're forwarding forensic evidence that was located at the crime scene to the West Virginia state police lab to be tested," Captain Jeff Shumate with the Beckley Police Department said.

Police have not confirmed a motive and are not releasing the victims name at this time.

What happened you ask? Look around you, are you blind? Is it just us non-political correct folks that still have some common sense?

Would not surprise me if she was shot AFTER she called her friend. Thus, the title may be a little misleading.

To R: this isn't the world we grew up in. This is a terrible thing to happen to a young woman. Prayers to friends and family.
