UPDATE from 6pm Wednesday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A teenage boy has been arrested Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in broad daylight Tuesday at Ritter Park.
The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Guyandotte. Another male juvenile, said to be a stepbrother of the boy arrested Wednesday, remains on the loose.
Police say two teenagers on a moped robbed a couple pushing their child in a stroller near the gazebo in Ritter Park. Police received an anonymous call from someone who recognized a blue moped in Guyandotte.
Police brought the boy into Cabell County Magistrate Court where he was arraigned on first-degree robbery charges. Police say they're still looking for his stepbrother who's also 17.
The young man told police his stepbrother called him and said he wanted to rob somebody. Police say the teens had the gun during the robbery, and they only got away with $25.
If convicted, the teenager could spend at least 10 years in jail for the armed robbery. The juvenile will have a preliminary hearing at 10:30 a.m. April 12.
UPDATE from 11pm Newscast
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A walk in the park quickly turned into a nightmare for a young couple robbed at gunpoint.
It happened in the middle of the day Tuesday as the couple pushed their 1-year-old son in his stroller near the gazebo in Ritter Park.
Police say two young men riding a blue and silver scooter approached the couple, pulled guns out and demanded money. One of the victims say the suspects made him thrown his cell phone across the road so he could not call for help. The suspects then fled on the scooter.
Officers say the couple walked to a nearby log cabin to use the phone to call for help. Nobody was injured, but police say they’re confident they’ll find the suspects.
Kerry Erin Coats came to eat lunch at the gazebo just moments after the robbery.
"It's stunning me that this would happen in a town where I grew up, especially in this part of town," she said. "I’m just outraged and repulsed that someone would be filled with that much hate and filth.”
Anyone with information that can help police catch the suspects can call the Huntington Police Detective Bureau at 304-696-4420.

TRACY, you think they are such great people? Then let them live with you! Frankly, I'd throw them under the jail. enough of the "oh poor kids attitude" they broke the law, they should do the time as adults.
I hope these filthy animals get 15 years. A poor couple and a little precious baby. That is the worst crime ive ever heard of. Heck give em 20 yrs. I hope they get beat in prison which they will for pulling a gun on an innocent little baby you trashy idiot. Well its the first of the month now you should be ok for lil while. Give the money to children.
This is an adult crime for which there should be and adult amount of time spent behind bars. we don't need animals like these walking the streets. to the folks thinking they should get a slap for being "Kids". How would you have felt if the victum had been and armed off duty cop and shot these "Kids"?
