BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Investigators have released the name of the man found dead following a barn fire in Cabell County on Monday.

The Cabell County Sheriff says the victim is 54-year-old Larry Moore who they believe is the owner of the property.

The fire in the 2200 block of McComas Road was reported around 4 p.m. on Monday.

At this time, the Sheriff's Office is not able to say how Mr. Moore died, or how the fire started. Their investigation is ongoing.

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Firefighters responding to a barn fire in Cabell County found human remains inside. The fire was reported around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of McComas Road.

Sheriff Tom McComas tells WSAZ.com that investigators have not positively identified the body. He says the barn was essentially destroyed and as firefighters were putting out the last of the flames they found a body. No word yet on whether it's a man or a woman or the cause of death.
