MADISON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For Little Leagues in Boone County, playing ball has become a whole lot easier.
They've got a generous partner on their side, Massey Energy. The company has put in more than $100,000 to help renovate the Little League fields in Massey. The work took several months to complete.
Saturday, the community was invited to take a look at the completed renovations.
Massey provided a new scoreboard, batting cages, new fencing and helped update the playing field.

BIG DON YOU CAN KEEP YOUR BLOOD MONEY!

Our opening day was a wonderful day to celebrate our future, the children living in the coal fields. The children that are all connected to a coal miner in someway. The tragedy that took place was just that; A TRAGEDY. But deep down we all know that there should be a time for mourning and saddness, but we can not live in continuous sorrow and grief. No matter how sad our hearts may be, life must go on. MEMORIES! Remember that everything that is reported is not accurate. Pick and choose is their preference for reporting:( Congratulations to Madison Little League. Thank Massey and supporters. And God Bless all coal miners and their families, you keep our lights burning.
