UPDATE 4/24/11 @ 9:45 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sunday marks one year since a Charleston woman went missing, and while the search hasn't let up, keeping hope up can be a struggle for some.
“Since Kathy's disappearance, we had these posters made, and the poster has been here since the day she disappeared,” Kristi Walker, vice president of Kelley’s Mens Shop, said.
It was April 24th, 2010 when Kathy Goble was last seen. Her co-workers last saw her at Kelley's Mens shop where she worked for ten years.
“When she left here we all expected to see her back again on Monday,” Walker said.
Walker was alarmed when Goble didn't show up for work. Then she stumbled upon something else strange.
“I passed what looked like her car,” Walker said
She found Kathy’s car on I-64 in Putnam County. A white towel was hanging from the window.
“It was just a clean white bar towel,” Walker said. “Which isn't something Kathy would have generally been carrying in her car.”
Now, one year later the pieces still aren't coming together.
“We try to keep hope, but after a year; the likelihood becomes less that it's gonna have a positive outcome,” Walker said.
It leaves many questions unanswered.
“It still seems like she wasn't the one driving her car that day,” Walker said.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department is still investigating Goble's disappearance. If you have any information, give them a call at (304) 357-0169.
UPDATE 5/25/10 @ 9:20 a.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- It's been a month since relatives and friends last heard from a Kanawha County woman whose vehicle was found abandoned along Interstate 64 in Putnam County.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Lt. Sean Crosier says investigators have little information on the disappearance of 62-year-old Shelia "Kathy" Goble.
She had left work on Charleston's west side on April 24 and Crosier says Goble last was seen leaving a South Charleston home that night. Her 2004 Honda Pilot was abandoned at the 42-mile marker on I-64, two miles from the Crooked Creek exit.
Friends and family have launched a website, www.kathygoble.com, and have distributed fliers in several states.

UPDATE 4/30/10 @ 10 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Nearly a week has gone by since Kathy Goble was last spotted. Investigators say Goble, who is from Charleston, seems to have just vanished. They have few clues, but her family and friends are still holding onto hope that she will be found.
Loved ones, feeling lost themselves, joined together in Charleston Friday night to keep the spotlight on her disappearance.
"It's been terrible," coworker Kristi Waldeck says. "We've all just been racking our brain trying to come up with information that might help police."
Goble was last seen on Saturday. Detective Sean Snuffer with the Kanawha County's Sheriff department says she was seen on surveillance cameras at the Southridge Walmart on Saturday. She also was spotted at Kenna Homes. But since then, he says it's like she vanished.
Goble's car was found alongside Interstate 64 near Winfield in Putnam County on Monday by a coworker. Investigators say there is no reason she would have been in that area, and search dogs didn't find any clues there.
There also has been no activity on any of her bank accounts. Investigators are interviewing friends and family and following tips that they have received.
Kathy's friends say not knowing is the hardest part, but they are not giving up hope.
"Whether she was abducted and can get away and get home safely or if she just went off on her own, we still don't know," family friend Billy Herrald says. "So we just hope and pray."
And they join together. Dozens of people gathered outside of Kelley's Men's Shop Friday night. Goble worked at the store for 10 years.
"She was a jubilant person," Virginia Wright says. "We always would laugh when I came into the store."
When Goble didn't show up to work on Monday, her coworkers -- who are like family -- knew something was wrong.
Since then, the store has been ground zero in the fight to find Kathy.
"I hope everyone who saw this, saw how much she's missed and loved by all her family and friends," Waldeck says. "We just really hope if anyone has any information they'll come forward."
If you have any information that could help police find Goble, you are asked to call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department at 304-357-0169.
